E-commerce
The two pages where money is won: product and cart
A conversion programme on the product page and cart in a repeat-purchase, basket-building category. Every change shipped as a testable variant, not an opinion.
- Client
- Pet Supplies Retailer
Situation
Once the store was on the new platform, the work moved from platform to conversion.
The category is repeat-purchase: the customer who came for one bag of food should leave with litter and a treat, and come back in six weeks without paid reacquisition.
Approach
On the product page: clearer bag-size selection, delivery and returns trust markers next to the buy button, and cross-sell placed to read as helpful rather than pushy.
In the cart: a visible free-shipping threshold telling the customer exactly how far they are from qualifying.
The signup incentive was positioned where it converts rather than where it interrupts.
Result
Each change went in as a testable variant, and the ones that held up on the numbers stayed.
The compound effect showed up in conversion rate and daily revenue rather than in traffic.
